Founded in 1877,  by Venerable Mary Potter, and arriving in Sydney in 1885, we, the sisters of the Little Company of Mary are international community of women religious dedicated to the care of the poor, the sick and the dying. 

From our beginnings in this country, our work has been with the poor, the sick and the dying. Home nursing, feeding the poor, caring for the dying, initiating care for blind children and those  suffering from mental illness were part of our beginnings. Hospitals became a part of our corporate ministry, but our mission remains to evangelize and to bring the love of God to those who are most in need.
